Over the period from January 2010 to January 2013 the LNAU followed all the activities stipulated by the project.
On March 29-30, 2010 the coordinator of the project from LNAU Olga Ishchenko took part in a kick-off meeting of all the consortium members. The main goal of the meeting was to meet the participants from European, Russian and Ukrainian universities (the presentation were made by each consortium member), discuss the management groups, activities to be fulfilled for the three year of the project.
On September 12-16, 2010 two participants from LNAU took part in the International Workshop in Crimean Agro-Technology University and made a presentation “Training of Master students in specialty “Ecology at LNAU”.
As the main goal of the project is to bring three cycle structure curricula and teaching methods in the discipline “Ecology” and “Agro Ecology” into line with Bologna requirements LNAU started with the assessment of the existing courses in order to select the courses to be modernized and to be developed as new ones at LNAU.
For this purpose the 4 working groups were organized at the Department of Ecology and Biology headed by Associate Professor Khirivskyy Petro.
After assessment the existing courses and consultations with the European partners the working group elaborated the target curricula.
For Bachelor Degree in the field of study: “Ecology, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Nature Use” 2 new specializations “Bio Ecology” and “Ecological Tourism” and 6 new courses within this specialization have been detected for the elaboration

For Master Degree new specialization “Agro Ecology” was targeted for including in the university curricula within specialty “Ecology, Environmental Protection” and 4 new courses were to be developed

- Ecological Expertise of Agricultural Production
- Agro Ecological Monitoring and Certification
- Management of Ecological and Technogenic Safety
For PhD Program with existing specialty “Ecology”, courses on methodology of scientific research were detected for modernization and a new course in “Ecological Bio Chemistry” was to be developed.
2 members of each working group participated in intensive courses organized by European universities. Those mobility enabled the lecturers to compare the programs on the respective field of study and acquire a clear vision of which courses need to be adapted within the university, which have to be modernized and which courses have to be developed as new ones.

After returning from the study tours to European universities each group made presentations on the received information and materials to the members of their department (department of Ecology and Biology). 5 workshops with the members of the department were organized (average 25 lecturers took part in each workshop).
The discipline “Ecological Toxicology” (Bachelor degree) which has not been detected as a course for modernization at the beginning has been modernized after the intensive courses in Ghent University. The materials have been collected and now the new course book is due to be published by the beginning of the new academic year entitled “Ecological Toxicology”.
Besides, the typical Ministry program on the discipline “System theory and systematic analysis in Ecology” has been worked out by the participants of the intensive courses in Boku university Hnativ Petro and Krektun Bohdan and submitted to Ministry.
Petro Hnativ, Petro Khirivskyy, Natalia Panas prepared for publication the new course book on the discipline “Natural and resource potential of Ukraine”.
For Specialty “Ecology and Environmental Protection” (Master level) 4 new typical study programs have been developed and applied to the Ministry of Education of Ukraine.
From 01.09.2011, field of study: “Ecology, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Nature Use” (Bachelor Degree) 2 specializations “Bio Ecology”, “Ecological Tourism” have been introduced in the university curricula and 6 new courses are being taught:
- Organization of tourist business and guiding
- Recreation resources and resort development
- Ecological tourist services
- Land and water ecosystems
- Eco Bio Cenology
- Geo Abnormal zones and Biota
From 01.09.2011 a new specialization in “Agro Ecology» have been taught for the students of the Master level. Within this specialization 4 new courses are being taught:
- Sustainable Nature Use of Rural Territories (course book published)
- Ecological Expertise of Agricultural Production
- Agro Ecological Monitoring and Certification
- Management of Ecological and Technogenic Safety
From 01.09.2011 a new course in “Ecological Bio Chemistry” for PhD students is being taught.
The Moodle system has been used at the university for providing teaching process since 2009.
The department of Ecology and Biology arranged regular meetings with non-university partners in implementation different environmental programs as well as for students practical training. These are:
1. Yavoriv National Nature Park
2. Regional Department of Environmental Protection
3. Ecological Inspection in Lviv Region
4. Regional Landscape park “Znessinya”
5. Natural Resort “Roztochya”
In May, 2011 three experts from Warsaw University of Life Sciences visited LNAU within the ENAGRA project. During 2 days (on May 16-17) together with the department staff (total 12 lecturers) they analyzed the modernized programs and newly developed courses and provided their remarks in order to adjust the courses to European standards.
On May 17, 2011 the Monitoring of Tempus Project ENAGRA was held at Lviv National Agrarian University. Olena Orzhel, monitoring manager from National Tempus Office conducted the meeting and provided her remarks on the more efficient implementation of the project.
On May 30 - June 4, 2011 four participants from LNAU took part in the International Workshop in e-learning which was held at NUBIP.
On April 11-13, 2011 representatives from LNAU took part in the Info Session within the inter coaching Project “Development of new land governance studies in Macedonia and Ukraine” (LAGOS). Coordinator of the project Olga Ishchenko made the presentation “Ecological project ENAGRA at LNAU: activities and outcomes”. Good cooperative relations have been established between 2 university partner projects.
On October 17-18, 2011 the university took part in the international conference “Current problems of educational process: modernization of agrarian education” which was held at Saratov State Agrarian University.
On June 20, 2012 LNAU was elected a member of the Association for European Life Science Universities (ICA).
On November 6-9, 2012 the Final Conference on Tempus Joint Project “Environmental Curricula at Agricultural Universities” (ENAGRA) was held at LNAU. 32 participants took part at the conference from different universities: Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland), National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (Ukraine), Lviv National Agrarian University (Ukraine), University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (Austria), Ghent University (Belgium), University of Lleida (Spain), Saratov State Agrarian University (Russia), Buryat State Agricultural Academy (Russia), Institute EDUTER (France), IROICA, ICA.
Coordinator of the project Olga Ishchenko made the presentation in title “Activities and outcomes of ENAGRA project at LNAU”.
Ass. prof Khirivskyy P., Krektun B., prof. Hnativ P.,(Ecology and Biology Departament) made the presentation in title “Modernization and introduction of the new study courses for the Bachelor and Master programs in the field of study “Ecology and Environmental Protection”.
Representative of inter-coaching Tempus project LAGOS Petrakovska O. performed the presentation “Environmental issues in the aspect of Land Governance Studies in Ukraine”.
The results of the project were disseminated via central and local media: at Lviv TV channel in the program “News in the 12th Channel”, Kyiv central channel in the program “Window in Europe”, Lviv local radio program, university newspaper and website.
Laboratory and technical equipment for express analysis of water, soil and food products quality when conducting research and practical classes with Master and PhD students have been bought.
Methodological materials and course books within project have been published.
