13-16 жовтня 2025 р. в рамках проєкту ЄС Еразмус+ з розбудови потенціалу вищої освіти DEFEP «Дистанційна освіта майбутнього: кращі практики ЄС у відповідь на запити сучасних здобувачів вищої освіти і представників ринку праці» відбулася міжнародна науково-практична конференція «Дистанційна освіта майбутнього: досвід проєкту DEFEP і сталий розвиток». Конференція була проведена у змішаному форматі на базі Київського національного економічного університету імені Вадима Гетьмана. Учасників конференції привітав ректор КНЕУ імені Вадима Гетьмана Дмитро Лук’яненко, який наголосив на важливості дистанційної освіти як інструменту збереження наукових шкіл і розвитку освіти у такі непрості для України часи.

З доповіддю про підсумки реалізації проєкту DEFEP протягом 3 років від ЛНУВМБ імені. С.З. Ґжицького виступила координатор проєкту Оксана Прокопишин. Вона наголосила на успішній реалізації робочих пакетів у ЛНУВМБ ім. С.З. Ґжицького і запровадженні в університеті дистанційної освіти як окремої та незалежної форми, яка відповідає викликам і вимогам сучасного ринку праці та потребам здобувачів вищої освіти. Загалом було підкреслено, що успішна реалізація та досвід проєкту DEFEP сприятимуть сталому розвитку дистанційної освіти та успішній співпраці ЗВО, держави, бізнесу та громадянського суспільства в Україні, Молдові та ЄС.
На конференції окрему увагу було приділено сталому розвитку цифрової освіти та її адаптації до потреб ринку праці. У заході взяли участь представники українських та європейських університетів, науковці, міжнародні організації та представники органів влади. Учасники активно ділилися здобутками і напрацюваннями, обговорювали виклики та перспективи розвитку дистанційної освіти в Україні. Учасники конференції визначилися щодо розробки рекомендацій для подальшого розвитку цифрової освіти в Україні.
З метою узагальнення наявних результатів, моніторингу якості виконання та визначення можливих ризиків у підготовці до підсумкового звітування 15-17 жовтня 2025 р. було проведено Координаційну зустріч партнерів ЗВО України, яку модерувала координатор проєкту DEFEP, к.е.н. Олена Філімонова. Зустріч відбулася на базі Київського національного економічного університету імені Вадима Гетьмана.
Серед учасників були представники команд ЧНУ імені Петра Могили, КНЕУ імені Вадима Гетьмана, ХНУ імені Василя Каразіна, Уманського національного університету, НУ «Чернігівська політехніка», Львівського НУ ветеринарної медицини і біотехнологій імені С.З. Ґжицького.

Під час зустрічі партнери з університетів України обговорили:
- результати проєкту DEFEP за весь період його реалізації та в розрізі робочих пакетів;
- перебіг експериментальної частини проєкту DEFEP, вступ на пілотовані ОП у 2024 і 2025 роках у партнерських ЗВО;
- результати моніторингу та оцінювання якості дистанційної освіти за пілотованими ОП магістерського рівня вищої освіти;
- забезпечення сталості проєкту DEFEP і подальший розвиток дистанційної освіти у партнерських ЗВО;
- рекомендації з досвіду проєкту DEFEP щодо розвитку дистанційної форми здобуття вищої освіти, що стануть у пригоді іншим ЗВО і МОН;
- ризики, виклики та перешкоди в реалізації проєкту;
- зміни, пов'язані з реорганізацією окремих партнерських ЗВО;
- дисемінацію та комунікацію результатів проєкту DEFEP;
- технічні та фінансові аспекти підготовки до фінального звітування за проєктом.
Зустріч дала змогу актуалізувати нагальні питання та визначити найближчі дії задля успішної фіналізації проєкту DEFEP, висвітлення результатів і забезпечення сталості розвитку дистанційної форми здобуття вищої освіти у ЗВО України.

On October 13-16, 2025 within the framework of EU Erasmus+ capacity building project DEFEP "Distance education for the future: EU best practices in response to the demands of modern higher education seekers and the labor market" the scientific and practical conference “Distance education for future: DEFEP project experience and sustainable development” was held. The conference took place at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman in a hybrid format. The rector of KNEU Dmytro Lukyanenko welcomed the participants of the conference and focused on the importance of distance education as an instrument of maintaining the scientific schools in Ukraine and development of education in general. 
Oksana Prokopyshyn, project coordinator, presented a report on the results of the DEFEP project implementation at the S. Gzhytskyi Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies over three years. She emphasized the successful implementation of work packages at the S. Gzhytskyi Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies Lviv and the introduction of distance learning at the university as a separate and independent form that meets the challenges and requirements of the modern labor market and the needs of higher education seekers. 
Overall, the participants of the conference emphasized that the successful implementation the DEFEP project and the gained experience will contribute to the sustainable development of distance education. The project’s outcomes will facilitate the successful cooperation among higher education institutions, the state, business, and civil society in Ukraine, Moldova, and the EU. Particular attention was paid to the sustainable development of digital education and its adaptation to the needs of the labor market. The conference was attended by representatives of Ukrainian and European universities, scientists, international organizations, and government officials. Participants actively shared their achievements and best practices, discussed challenges and prospects for the development of distance education in Ukraine. Conference participants agreed on recommendations for the further development of digital education in Ukraine. 
In order to summarize the available results, monitor the quality of implementation, and identify possible risks in preparation for the final reporting, a coordinating meeting of Ukrainian partner HEIs was held on October 15-17, 2025, moderated by DEFEP project coordinator Olena Filimonova, Ph.D. The meeting took place at the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman.
Among the participants were: representatives of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University team;  the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman team;  V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University; Uman National University; Chernihiv Polytechnic National University;  S.Z. Gzhytsky Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies.
During the meeting, partners from Ukrainian universities discussed:
- the results of the DEFEP project for the entire period of its implementation and in terms of work packages;
- the progress of the experimental part of the DEFEP project, entry into piloted study programs in 2024 and 2025 in partner higher education institutions;
- the results of monitoring and evaluating the quality of distance education in piloted master's level higher education programs;
- ensuring the sustainability of the DEFEP project and the further development of distance education in partner HEIs;
- recommendations based on the DEFEP project experience regarding the development of distance learning in higher education, which will be useful to other higher education institutions and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine;
- risks, challenges, and obstacles in the implementation of the project;
- changes related to the reorganization of individual partner HEIs;
- dissemination and communication of the DEFEP project results;
- technical and financial aspects of preparing for the final project reporting.
The meeting provided an opportunity to raise pressing issues and determine the next steps for the successful completion of the DEFEP project, dissemination of results, and ensuring the sustainability of distance education in HEIs in Ukraine
